Q: How do you do distance readings? Don't you need me to be there to shuffle the cards?
Q: How do you do distance readings? Don't you need me to be there to shuffle the cards?
A: We are all made up of energy. Our thoughts, feelings, and emotions are all energy. And energy can be anywhere at any time. In order to do a distance reading, I take a few moments to get grounded and centered, and then I connect with you on an energetic level by thinking about you, your question, and the feelings that surround that question. As I'm thinking of you, that energy is shuffled into the cards. I also ask the angels, my guides, and your guides to help me provide the best and most accurate reading possible for you.
Q: Is that how you send Reiki, too?
A: Yes! Once you realize that energy can go anywhere, you start to understand how Reiki can flow freely to whomever it is sent to regardless of location. This also means that Reiki energy can be sent backwards and forwards in time. It's pretty amazing stuff!
Q: Are you a psychic?
A: I'm no more psychic than anyone else. We are all born with our sixth, intuitive sense. It's just that some of us are more tuned in and connected to this sense than others. Anyone can learn to do what I do - even you!
Q: So, how did you learn to do what you do?
A: Lots of practice! I've been reading cards for people for nearly fifteen years! I've also been practicing Reiki since 2010 and have been an intuitive thinker all my life. I graduated the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in March of 2013, which I where I learned about health, nutrition, and life coaching. I love to learn and always have a few classes on my "wish list."
Q: I'm really in a jam and need a reading or Reiki session TODAY. Do you do "emergency" readings?
A: No, I don't. I may take a same day appointment if I have an opening, but I don't do other people's drama. Really, there is no such thing as a "Psychic Emergency" where you need to have a reading from me RIGHT NOW! I know that there are many readers out there who encourage this sort of behavior, or who encourage their clients to call them for help making every little decision in their lives. I think this is really harmful and predatory behavior. I see it as my job to empower you, not make you afraid to make your own decisions or work out your own problems.
Q: Can I contact you if I have questions about my reading?
A: If you had an e-mail reading, yes! I keep copies of all of my e-mail readings for just this reason! You may e-mail me one set of questions after your reading. No additional cards will be pulled at this time, as this is just a clarification of the reading you've already had.
Unfortunately, if you had an in-person, phone, or Skype reading, I probably do not have a copy of your reading and may not be able to answer specific questions about your reading later on. If you are having this type of reading, please try ask any questions you have during your reading!!
Q: How can I ensure that I get the very best reading possible?
A: While there aren't very many "shoulds" and "shouldn'ts" to worry about during an intuitive reading, here are a few things to keep in mind:
* Come prepared with a specific question or situation in mind. If you aren't sure what to ask, just ask to be shown the information you most need to know right now.
* Try to ask open-ended rather than yes or no questions.
* Have a pen and notebook handy so you can take notes during your reading. This is especially important if you are having an in-person, phone or Skype reading since you won't receive a written report once the reading is done.
* Keep an open mind.
Q: Do you offer refunds?
A: Because an intuitive reading requires my time to perform, and as time is something that cannot be returned to me, I do not offer refunds on my readings. If your reading does not make sense to you, I ask that you please keep and open mind give it time to pan out. Sometimes it takes a little time and thought to understand what came through during the reading, and sometimes it takes time for events to come together.
Well-known psychic Sonia Choquette once told a story of doing a reading for a woman and telling her that she was going to get married to a man not of her own nationality and that this woman would be leaving the country with that man. The woman was sure that this could never, ever possibly happen! But, a year later, she contacted Sonia to tell her that everything she'd been told had come true - right down to her packing her bags and moving to another country! So, please, keep an open mind! Even if it seems like the reading is telling you something that could never, ever happen in your life - it still could!
Q: Can I hire you for events and parties?
A: Yes! Absolutely! You can contact me using the form on the Contact page, and we can arrange scheduling and payment. My base rate is $100 per hr, for a 2-hour minimum if you are in the Sheridan, Wyoming area.
Q: I just paid for a reading or a healing service. What now?
A: Within a few days of your purchase, I will send you a confirmation email letting you know the approximate day and time I will be conducting your reading. This may be from 24 hours up to two weeks depending on my current workload. If you would like to know how far out I am currently booking readings and sessions before making a purchase, you may feel free to contact me to find out!
Q: What do you need from me to do a Reading?
A: Absolutely nothing! Really. I promise! I prefer to work knowing as little about you and the situation as possible. That way, you'll know that I wasn't just trying to tell you what you wanted to hear.
Q: What kind of cards do you use?
A: I use a lot of cards! I love them and collect them whenever I find a deck that speaks to me. My favorites are my Medicine Cards and Doreen Virtue's angel cards. I also have decks by Sonia Choquette, Denise Lynn, and others.
